About Me
I’m Laura — a personal trainer and an all-round advocate for movement, mobility, and exercise as a way of supporting mental health and overall well-being.
Before becoming a personal trainer, I was a primary school teacher for 12 years. I loved teaching, but decided to have a career change during one of the lockdowns. Since becoming a personal trainer, I’ve honestly never been happier. Helping others step into their power and become fitter, stronger and more confident is the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done, and I’m on a mission to help people feel their healthiest and happiest.
As I’ve got older — especially since becoming a mum in 2016 — I’ve felt an overwhelming desire to support other women, no matter what stage of life they’re in. Long gone are the days of comparing myself to others or judging my self-worth based on someone else’s success. That mindset doesn’t serve me anymore. Now, I have nothing but admiration for women doing the work to improve their lives, and I want to help as many as possible take that leap to prioritise their physical and mental health. I believe in surrounding myself with women who lift each other up and celebrate one another’s wins, big or small.
Having experienced periods of depression and anxiety in my adult life, I’ve learned — often the hard way — that true happiness comes from a holistically healthy approach, diving deep into all aspect of life, not just lifting weights a few times a week. My aim is to help clients figure out what that looks like for them and build sustainable habits that make a real difference.
